During a workshop held at Carleton University and led by Professor Johan Voodouw, as part of an Architectural Associating Visiting School Workshop, students collaborated on a series of 3D scans of the Carbide Willson's ruin at Gatineau Park, Quebec, Canada. These morphed point clouds formed the digital context for the workshop. Together we designed a series of dislocated; 3D altered and choreographed animations within the spaces of the scans. These architectural contructs were then projected in an on-site immersive cinema.
Using state of the art 3D scanning equipment from the Azrieli School of Architecture, the Carleton Immersive Media Lab and ScanLAB Projects long range LiDAR 3D Scanner we digitized 'reality', linked the points and created new space.
Work completed with Alexander Stewart and Thao Lan Nguyen Le.
